The song was originally called ‘Tu Vuò Fa L’Americano’ and was co-written and performed by an Italian singer and musician called Renato Carosone. A fun version of this song has been recorded by The Chipettes. This is the chipmunk girl group that appears in the 2011 live-action/ computer animated musical family comedy ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked’.
